Beautiful Ginkgo tree in the Botanic Garden of Merano, Italy with October colors Merano 1:7, 500 (Maps & Atlases).

Somebody thought that I simply copied Vincent van Gogh here, which I didn’t. However, since I purchased a book with all his paintings, I found one which is quite similar indeed. It is “Blossoming Acacia Branches” Oil on canvas, 32.5 x 24.0 cm, Auvers-sur-Oise: June, 1890 and it can be seen at http://www.vggallery.com/painting/p_0821.htm.

In addition he has made quite a few paintings on trees and/or undergrowth, e.g. Oil on Canvas, Paris: Summer, 1887 see e.g. http://www.vangoghgallery.com/catalog/image.aspx?fn=images/0306.jpg using the same style as it also speaks to me.

Ein stimmungsvoller Ginkgo Baum im Botanischen Garten von Meran Trauttmansdorff – Die Gärten / Giardini / The Gardens in Oktober Rund um Meran: Wanderführer mit Tourenkarten und Höhenprofilen.

Jemand meinte, daß ich hier einfach Vincent van Gogh kopiert hätte, was nicht stimmt. Da ich jedoch ein Buch mit allen seinen Gemälden kaufte, fand ich dort eins, das tatsächlich ziemlich ähnlich ist. Es ist der „Blühender Akazienzweig“ von Juni 1890, siehe z.B. hier http://www.vggallery.com/painting/p_0821.htm.

In der Tat malte er einige Bilder mit Bäumen und/oder Unterholz, siehe z.B. http://www.vangoghgallery.com/catalog/image.aspx?fn=images/0306.jpg mit der gleichen Technik, die mich ebenfalls stark anspricht.
