Swan Family Swimming

End of May 2020 there was also a family of six swans taking a swim at lake Starnberg. There were actually four cygnets, two of them taking a piggyback ride on mamas back. One of the hatchlings was truly buried in mamas plumage and is not visible in this photo while the second one is enjoying himself.

Therefore see one regrettably fuzzy additional photo bellow showing the whole family.

Ende Mai 2020 gab es auch eine Schwanfamilie, die im Starnbergersee schwimmen ging. Es gab 4 sehr junge Schwäne, wobei 2 von ihnen den Ausflug lieber auf Mamas Rücken genossen. Eins der Kleinen ist so vollkommen in Mamas Federn vergraben, das es auf dem obigen Foto nicht sichtbar ist, während das zweite die Fahrt offenkundig genießt.

Deshalb unten noch ein leider unscharfes Foto, auf dem aber die ganze Familie zu sehen ist.

End of May 2020 near lake Starnberg, Germany I met several happy cows on a lush meadow. This one even seemed interested in a little chat.

Als ich Ende Mai 2020 nahe dem Starnbergersee spazieren ging, traf ich einige glückliche Kühe auf einer saftigen Wiese. Diese hier schien sogar an einem kleinen Plausch Interesse zu haben.

Looking at Lake Starnberg

While I was sitting on a bench last week enjoying the calm view on lake Starnberg near Bernried, Germany a little girl came along accompanied by her grandmother. I was taking landscape pictures when the girl stepped in front of my objective and just looked at the lake.

Während ich letzte Woche auf einer Bank saß und die friedliche Aussicht auf den Starnberger See in der Nähe von Bernried genoß, kam ein kleines Mädchen in Begleitung ihrer Großmutter vorbei. Ich fotografierte gerade die Landschaft als das Mädchen vor meine Linse trat und den See betrachtete.

Hamsa – Hand der Fatima

This is the Hamsa amulet, also known as the hand of Fatima after the daughter Mohammed’s.
I did the ornaments in the style of colourful glass church windows.

Violets under Birches – Veilchen unter Birken

A vibrant landscape depicting my favorite birch trees forming a light forest. The meadow underneath is full of radiant violets forming a great contrast to the bark of the birch trees.
The trunks were made using a palette knife and very thick acrylic paint.

Eine lebhafte Landschaft mit meinen Lieblingsbäumen, die ein lockeres Wäldchen bilden. Die Wiese darunter ist voller strahlender Veilchen, die einen wunderbaren Kontrast zur weißen Birkenrinde bilden.
Die Stämme wurden mithilfe eines Palettenmessers und sehr dickflüssiger Acrylfarbe gemacht.

Two original paintings sold – Zwei Originalgemälde verkauft

I just sold the small original painting “Aspen Forest in Fall”. Of course the prints and postcards and other stuff of both paintings are continuing to be available.

I plan to do a couple of more paintings in this cycle.

Quite recently also the original painting “Green Forest” has left my home forever.

Soeben verkaufte ich das kleine Gemälde “ Espenwald im Herbst”. Selbstverständlich gibt es davon weiterhin Kunstdrucke, Postkarten und all die anderen schönen Sachen.
Ich plane noch einige weitere Gemälde in dieser Serie.

Kürzlich verließ ebenfalls das Gemälde „Grüner Wald“ mein Zuhause für immer.
