The snow is gone, the plants are awakening and Fritzi the squirrel is back. Snowflake made me aware of her activity recently. This time she was exploring the coconut fibres wrap which I use each winter to protect my plants against cold. Apparently she found it very useful, deciding to take a big chunk with her to build a nice home for herself.

Der Schnee ist geschmolzen, die Natur erwacht und Fritzi das Eichhörnchen ist wieder da. Schneeflocke machte mich neulich auf ihre Aktivität aufmerksam. Diesmal untersuchte Fritzi meine Kokosnußmatten, die ich jedes Jahr als Kälteschutz um meine Topfpflanzen wickle. Anscheinend gefällt ihr das Material bestens, denn sie nahm eine Menge davon mit, um ihr Nest zu polstern.
