Birch Study: Summer at the Lake – Birken Studie: Sommer am See

This is the second of rather small quadratic paintings of birch and other tree studies. The acrylic paint is quite thick here, forming a relief like structure allowing also for a tactile experience.
All four large sides (3.8 cm, 1.5”) are painted in the same manner. Actually I used a regular brush only for the background sky & water color. All birch trees are painted using only a palette knife while for all leaves and foliage I used a natural sponge.

Dies ist das zweite Gemälde in einer Serie von eher kleinen, quadratischen Gemälden von Birken und anderen Bäumen. Die Stämme dieser sommerlichen Birken wurden mit dicken Acrylfarben mit nur einem Malmesser gemacht. Die Farbe wurde so dick aufgetragen, so daß sie eine reliefartige Struktur besitzt und auch ein Tasterlebnis ermöglicht. Für alles Grünzeug und die Blätter benutzte ich einen Naturschwamm und nur das Wasser und der Himmel im Hintergrund wurden mit einem üblichen Pinsel gemalt. Die 3.8 cm breiten Seiten wurden in der gleichen Weise bemalt.

This heart balloons shot belong to my mostly viewed items. The balloons were set free after a very romantic wedding of a relative.

Dieser Schnappschuß von davonfliegenden Luftballons in Herzform gehört zu den Fotos in meinem Portfolio, die am häufigsten angeschaut werden. Sie wurden freigelassen nach einer sehr romantischen Hochzeit einer Verwandten.
