Seascape

When visiting Cyprus in November 2007 I took a photo of a very impressive sky over uproaring ocean, part of it can be seen in my blog headline picture. It was almost as if the nature would foresee the upcoming financial turmoil. This painting was inspired by those heavy dark clouds over the leaden water.

Als ich im November 2007 in Zypern war, fotografierte ich einen wolkenverhangenen Himmel über dem aufgewühlten Meer. Ein Teil des Fotos ist in meinem Kopfbild zu sehen. Es war fast, als ob die Natur die kommenden finanziellen Umwälzungen vorhergesehen hätte. Das Gemälde wurde von den dunklen Wolken über dem bleiernen Wasser inspiriert.

Zoo Tiger

This Siberian tiger in the Munich Zoo has been pacing forth and back for quite some time. I felt sorry for him as it looked like hospitalism.

Dieser sibirische Tiger im Münchner Zoo Hellabrunn schritt über einen langen Zeitraum ständig hin und zurück. Es sah aus wie Hospitalismus und er hat mir sehr leid getan.
