5) Where is that cat? – Wo ist denn die Katze?

Still looking for your cat? Do you have windows? As the sun is moving during the day, there will be sunny spots on the floor, or on the furniture. If you happen to have a feline sun addict like my Dany, than you have to check all the sunny spots for her.

Snowflake in contrary is not that much into the sun; maybe she’s afraid of melting!

There is a tiny book by J.D. Salinger Franny and Zooey where he describes briefly, though very vividly such sunny spot including the tomcat enjoying it.

Schneeflocke ist nicht so sehr verrückt nach der Sonne; vielleicht hat sie Angst zu schmelzen!

Es gibt ein sehr dünnes Büchlein von J.D. Salinger Franny und Zooey (rororo) wo er kurz, jedoch sehr lebhaft einen solchen Sonnenfleck inklusive des sich darin räkelnden Katers beschreibt.

This painting is based on the book Dead to the World (Southern Vampire Mysteries, Book 4) by Charlaine Harris. I could see Eric – after loosing his memory – leaning on the counter in Sookie’s kitchen, looking just gorgeous with his smug smile and wonderful physique.

I love the whole series and got myself already the first movie version True Blood: The Complete First Season (HBO Series) which is not as good as the books, however still worthwhile. I feel disturbed by the additional stories which are not in the books and which weaken the whole series.

I plan one more painting of Sookie and Eric together which again will be based only on the books.

Dieses Gemälde basiert auf dem Buch “Dead to the World” auf deutsch Der Vampir, der mich liebte: Roman von Charlaine Harris. Ich sah Eric – nachdem er sein Gedächtnis verlor – in Sookies Küche. Mit seinem fantastischen Körper und dem verschmitzen Lächeln sah er zum anbeißen aus.

Ich liebe diese ganze Serie und habe mir auch schon die erste Filmversion True Blood – Staffel 1 (5 Discs) besorgt. Diese ist zwar nicht ganz so gut wie die Bücher, aber durchaus sehenswert. Stören tun mich massiv die zusätzlichen Geschichten, welche nicht im Buch vorkommen und deshalb das ganze wesentlich schwächen.

Ich plane noch ein weiteres Gemälde mit Sookie und Eric, das aber wieder nur auf den Büchern basieren wird.
